A GR1-B of 617 Squadron (The famous Dam- busters) based at RAF Lossiemouth. This aircraft is a derivative of the RAFs Strike/Attack Tornado. Although it is capable of conventional Anti-Surface missions, The GR1-B specialises in Maritime Operations.

12 Squadron is stationed at RAF Lossiemouth, where it trains for both conventional and maritime operations. One of their aircraft is shown here with two   Sea  Eagle  (Anti-Ship) missiles mounted beneath the fuselage.

XV (Reserve) Squadron is the Tornado Weapons Conversion Unit where pilots and navigators are trained to operate the Tornado as a weapons platform. Once trained, the aircrew are sent to RAF Squadrons in the UK and Germany, some even remaining at Lossiemouth to fly the GR1 - B.
